David has the role of Tax Manager at the firm, providing specialist tax advice to corporates and small to medium-sized enterprises. He’s also involved in the day-to-day compliance work for clients, which he’s been doing since he started at Harvie Green Wyatt in 1984.
Before arriving in New Zealand, David spent a number of years working for the Australian Taxation Office while completing his Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales. He’s a Chartered Accountant and member of both the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia.
As a professional, he excels at finding clear solutions to complex problems, such as making sense of the ever-changing tax rules. He’s also a great communicator and enjoys interaction with both team members and clients. When he’s not busy in the office, he likes spending time with family, keeping fit when he can and also visiting family and friends in Australia.
