Accountancy as a Career

Contrary to popular believe, accounting is not all "bean-counting". Modern accounting encompasses a huge variety of work and people working in the accounting field can expect to be stimulated and challenged each and everyday.

Accounting qualifications are recognised throughout New Zealand and overseas. These qualifications are a passport to employment anywhere.

Employment Opportunities

Accounting qualifications can lead to opportunities to specialise in taxation, business services, audit, management accounting, receivership/insolvency, forensic accounting, consultancy/investigation and company directorships. At Harvie Green Wyatt we specialise in taxation and business advice for a large diverse range of clients.

Approved Training Organisation

The key component to all of the Institutes' qualifications is the practical experience. This must be completed at an Approved Training Organisation (ATO). An ATO is an organisation that the Institute has approved as competent of offering the type of work experience that fulfils the practical experience requirements for admission to the College of Chartered Accountants or College of Associate Chartered Accountants. Harvie Green Wyatt is an approved ATO. For more information on ATO, please click here.

We want to see our team fulfill their goals and aspirations, therefore we provide financial assistance with all of the professional study components, as well as providing exam and study leave.
